Entrant®
Over
the past 10 years we have used Entrant® for all our waterproof,
ski, board and street garments. It is soft, lightweight and has a reputation
for long term waterproofness and durability.
Toray, the manufacturers of Entrant® have constantly upgraded their
technology to improve the breathability and durability of their coatings.
The latest GII XTH specification breathes by a specially engineered, microporous
polymer coated to the underside of the fabric. Water vapour from perspiration
passes through the coating and rain is repelled. This means you remain
comfortable and dry on the inside no matter what the conditions are like
on the outside. The “H” in our specification means our Entrant® has
a thicker, more waterproof coating than the standard specification, an
extra advantage for wet temperate climates like New Zealand.
Our Entrant® garments are lined with a special No Holes Barred (NHB)
Polyester Fabric to protect the coating. All Entrant® seams are tape-sealed
in the factory to ensure a permanent, watertight joint. All the jackets
have tuck-away hoods in the back of the collar.
Our Entrant® fabric uses a low sheen nylon, chosen for its non-soiling
properties. The outer surface is treated with a durable water-repellent
finish to ensure maximum breathability in rain.
Our Entrant® garments have been used from mountain climbing to
every day motorcycle wear. Though these activities can test the fabric
to the
limit we constantly receive proof that Entrant® easily stands up
to this type of wear.
