60/40
Developed in the United States in the 1950’s,
60/40 is a woven blend of 60% Cotton and 40% Nylon. Cotton provides
the comfort and the natural breathability, Nylon the strength and
durability. Wind-proof, shower-proof and snow-proof, 60/40 can
be easily re-treated with a flouropolymer water repellent if restoration
of the fabric's original performance is required. Old, ten year,
Earth Sea Sky 60/40 jackets are often spotted with no signs of
wear. 60/40 garments use durable and corrosion resistant antique
brass zips, eyelets and domes.
